After waiting and waiting, our baby finally came. On May 3rd at 6:28pm, our little baby GIRL was born. After a full day of labor, some complications sent us into an emergency c-section where MAIDA RAINE made her appearance. We were so excited to finally meet our little girl, however she had to stay in the Special Care Nursery for a few days because of some head trauma she received while trying to get her out.
Now we are all home (4 weeks later) and doing well. It took a while for us to get rested and recovered and used to having a baby around, but we're really enjoying our new life as parents. Maida is just as cute as can be and I am really enjoying being a stay-home mom this summer. Erik is busy working hard to support his growing family, but he likes to spend his free time with Maida, his little princess! Barkley! loves his new sister and we can already tell that they're going to be the best of friends.
Hopefully now that I have more time, I will be able to keep this blog updated more for all of you who want to keep up with Maida.
