They predicted right (for once)! We have got SO MUCH SNOW! Erik, Maida, Barkley! and I spent the day down at the Best Western with Mema and Deda, scared to leave their motel room. It was just snowing like the dickens! Total we've probably got about a foot and a half, at least, and tomorrow we're supposed to get another storm. So, Mema and Deda have extended their stay in Duluth and won't be leaving until Monday morning to go back to Oklahoma. Even though we were stuck indoors all day, we still had a blast. Erik make a couple trips to Wendy's across the road to get us frosties and cheeseburgers. We also ordered pizza and watched the OU MissOU game. We left the hotel around 10:30 and I didn't think we'd make it home! If you've ever been to Duluth, you know that it's built on a big hill overlooking Lake Superior. Well, Mema and Deda are staying almost right on Lake Superior and we live up the hill a ways from the lake. So, when we went to come home tonight, we could not make it up the hill in our mini van. We tried several different streets and nothing was plowed! The people here are just loving it too. Even though it was 10:30 at night, there were so many out walking, playing, and snow boarding down the middle of the street down this big hill! It was awesome. Well, 40 minutes later we finally made it home. I have no idea how, but we even made it down our unplowed ally and into the garage. We helped another little car get down the ally too. We are really loving this snow, though. It is just so much fun. Erik and I are truly Minnesota kids! Here are some pictures and a movie from the day.
